May's mission Operation Write Home

Hi Everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read this post! I am very excited to get started with this month's mission. This month will be the Operation Write Home, formally Card for Heros. They support our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them. For more information, please visit their website at:

http://www.operationwritehome.org

I think it would really help boost their moral to know that a complete stranger thought about them and made them a card just for encouragement and thoughtfulness. I hope that you will join me in this important cause.

Please note, they can not have cards with glitter on them as it will possibly have them detected at night. Anything that you can do to help and encourage would be much appreciated. Some ideas for the cards would be: Hello, Hi, Thinking of you, Thank you, Thinking of You, Warm Wishes, Let Your Light Shine, Smile, You’re my hero, Thank you for your Service, and Happy Birthday. This mission is a bit different as you can write in them if you would like to send them a personal message or leave them blank inside so they can send them home to a loved one. Please try and send an envelope along with your card, if possible.

I'll be sure and update how many cards we have donated. Feel free to post a link to the cards that you have made so we can all see your work! :0)

Please have your cards to me no later than May 31st.

Send them to this address:

Compassionate Cards
PO Box 1145
Gig Harbor, WA 98335

Please do not hesitate to ask questions. Thank you in advance to all that can participate! I know they will appreciate them dearly. :0) Julie.
